❓ Frequently Asked Questions
🇨🇦 Can Canadians join the trip?
Absolutely. We regularly have travelers joining from Canada and other countries. As long as you can arrive to the starting city, you’re welcome to join the adventure.
✈️ Can I fly from anywhere?
Yes. Travelers come from all over North America and beyond. You simply book your flights to the trip’s starting city, and we’ll take it from there once the group begins.
👫 Can I bring my wife, husband, partner, or significant other?
Definitely. These trips are designed to be great for both players and non-players. Hockey is a major part of the experience, but there’s also sightseeing, food, nightlife, beaches, mountains, culture, and plenty of downtime built into the trip.
🏒 What level of hockey are these trips?
The overall experience comes first. We all love winning hockey games, but these trips are ultimately about travel, culture, camaraderie, and enjoying the journey together.
We recommend players have a decent amount of hockey experience and feel comfortable in organized game situations. Beginner skaters generally are not the best fit for the on-ice portion of the trip.
We do our best to coordinate games against teams of similar skill level, but every country and hockey market is different. Some matchups may be more competitive than others — we adapt, compete, and enjoy the experience regardless.
✅ Do I need to try out?
Nope. There are no formal tryouts.
We do like learning about your hockey background, experience level, and travel expectations beforehand to make sure the trip is a good fit for everyone involved.
🛏️ Do I have to share a hotel room?
No. You can absolutely request your own private room for an additional single-room supplement fee.
We also do our best to pair solo travelers with roommates whenever possible. However, depending on room availability, timing, and traveler pairings, a roommate may not always be available.
In those cases, a solo room supplement may apply.
🍻 What’s the overall vibe of the trips?
Social, organized, welcoming, and unforgettable.
Some people come solo, some come with teammates or partners, but by the end of the trip it usually feels more like traveling with a team than a tour group.
📅 How far in advance should I sign up?
As early as possible. Hotels, transportation, and ice time all need to be secured well ahead of departure, and many trips have limited roster spots available.
Travel & On-Ice Hockey Insurance
All players participating in on-ice hockey activities are required to carry travel and on-ice hockey insurance coverage for the duration of the trip.
- Emergency medical coverage while abroad
- Coverage for on-ice hockey activities and equipment
- Travel delay and baggage protection options
- 24-hour travel assistance services available
We will provide a recommended insurance option for eligible travelers after registration. Travelers are responsible for reviewing and selecting coverage that fits their individual needs.
Coverage availability and eligibility may vary depending on country of residence.
Ricky WilliamsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve known Cas for years and don’t know why I waited so long to go on one of these amazing trips! Best part is you just have to show up and not worry about scheduling anything! Plus you get to meet awesome people and play hockey all over the world! I don’t think there’s anything better than that! This definitely won’t be my last trip! Brett PhillipsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Known Caz since COVID and he created the opportunity to play when there wasn’t any available. He’s all about the experience. Since that time I’ve done two of the European hockey trips and brought the wife along for a honeymoon on one of the trips. Absolutely awesome experience that’s truly unique. One, the cities that youre organized to play are beautiful. Secondly, for what you get on the trip it’s a squeal of a deal. From traveling large and I charge on a large modern bus that is only 1/3 full, to nice hotels in the heart of old European cities, to not having to plan anything because fun things are always scheduled, to the freedom to explore by yourself if you so choose. And a trip with a purpose, playing hockey. Can you find that type of travel purpose anywhere else? Lastly, and this is the most important facet of Caz’ trips, where else are you going to the opportunity to go with 15, roughly, other like minded individuals to party it up and experience Europe? I didn’t know nearly everyone and by the second day you’re friends in a way that only a trip like this can create. One of a kind experience. And you get to connect with hockey players from other countries who shower you with hostpitality A once in a lifetime experience that will have you coming back for more. Caz is a true pro and has created a special experience that I’m truly thankful I was able to find. Gonna do these trips as much as I can for as long as they’re available. Keith CarlsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The trip was a blast, great cities, great sites and great people. It was relaxing to have everything planned and not have to do that. The countries are amazingly beautiful. Mary WilliamsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I really enjoyed this trip to Thailand! I am not a hockey player, but it was fun to get to know the players and watch hockey games in another country. The trip was pretty laid back with amazing excursions. The places we stayed at were lovely and the side trips were well organized. I had plenty of time to explore and relax on my own, as well. Thanks for a great trip Cas! Joe collierTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Love 4 the love of puck! Amazing international hockey trips and local skates / leagues! jeff tourvilleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 4 the love of puck is always on point, with everything from open skates to the leagues they offer. My greatest experience was the European trip. The level of hockey, the fun on day trips, the comaraderie with many great people. Cas and 4 the Love of Puck puts on a first class organization!!! Jessica MarsallaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 4 the Love of Puck has been a constant in my life for the past 6 years. I have met some incredible people and I would recommend anything that they put together from their weekly skates to their hosted tournaments to their international trips. I've had the privilege of joining them on two international trips: one to the thrilling ice rinks of Europe, and the other to the tropical paradise of Thailand. Both were absolutely incredible, and here's why: 1. Unforgettable Activities: They go beyond just hockey! They arrange exciting off-ice excursions that immerse you in the local culture. Exploring historic castles in Europe or snorkeling your way through the Phi Phi islands made the trips truly special. 2. Fantastic Facilities: They partner with incredible facilities, boasting top-quality ice and modern amenities. Whether it's facing off in historic European arenas or playing under the Thai sun, the settings were incredible. 3. Memories for Life: The camaraderie, the thrill of competition, the unique experiences—these trips became more than just vacations; they forged lasting friendships and memories. They don't just throw together trips, they create unforgettable experiences that combine top-notch hockey, amazing destinations, and memories that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for a hockey adventure unlike any other, look no further than 4 the Love of Puck. They've exceeded my expectations twice, and I can't wait for my next trip with them! Thomas RodeckTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Love traveling with these folks! I’ve been on three different trips in countless countries with these hockey fanatics, and I don’t even play hockey. Touring the country sides in the tour bus is the BEST way to travel. You get to see so much, and you don’t have to worry about getting from place to place. The hotel rooms are very nice at each location too. If I could give more stars I would! Jeff McMurchieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a great time on my first trip to Europe last year. The trip was well organized and got a great tour of Europe. I am going again the Fall of 2024.
